Privacy Policy

PROLEASE has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination practices for all PROLEASE web sites. PROLEASE is the sole owner of the information collected from the prolease.net site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different than what is disclosed in this statement. PROLEASE collects information from our users at several different points on our website.

Information Automatically Logged

We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is also used to gather broad demographic information.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site.  Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates.  For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site.  If a user rejects the cookie, they may still use our site.

In order to submit a credit application or request a quote, the user must first complete a form.  Information collected on this form is used to contact the user about the product/service for which the user expressed an interest.  Users may opt-out of being contacted—see the choice/opt-out section below.
When completing the credit application, the user is required to give his/her Social Security Number.  This information is used to conduct a credit check.  

Our site may provide customers the ability to contact us for additional information.  Information collected in our contact form is used to contact the customer via phone, mail, fax, or e-mail to discuss PROLEASE products and services and/or to answer questions.

Sharing

Personally identifiable information is not otherwise released by PROLEASE to outside parties except as set forth in this Privacy Statement unless required by law or legal process (for example, subpoena). PROLEASE reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy in exceptional circumstances (such as suspected illegal activity) on a case by case basis and at the sole discretion of PROLEASE.

PROLEASE abides by applicable laws and regulations governing the disclosure of information to governmental agencies. When responding to legal process served on PROLEASE by non-governmental agencies, unless otherwise ordered, the policy of PROLEASE is to make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers in advance of releasing requested information and to provide customers the opportunity to pursue available legal action.

Security

This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.

When our forms ask users to enter sensitive information (such as Social Security Number, that information is encrypted and is protected with SSL encryption software.  While on a secure page, such as the PROLEASE credit application, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just surfing.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line.  All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices.  Finally, the servers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure environment.
